We’re sorry. Option 3 is no longer available.

Yep… you read that right.

I’m 29, and I’m officially putting my love life on hold. Part of me wants to say it’s a brief hold 😂, but I’m not even going to get my hopes up like that. I’m tired of getting my hopes up when it comes to love. It’s honestly exhausting.

You know how people pray and ask God to remove the desires from their hearts that don’t align with His will? I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening to me right now… but it might be.

Or maybe I’m just tired.

Every time I get hurt, I tell myself I’m done. Then I remind myself that everybody isn’t the same. But time after time after time… I end up being proven wrong. It starts to feel like everybody is the same… maybe even worse.

I’ve been cheated on. Lied to. Manipulated. Used. Taken for granted. Betrayed. And between two different men, I’ve had three babies had behind my back.

So yeah… I think it’s time for a break.

Especially after my last situation. I don’t think I can just freely date anymore.

One of my biggest “problems” is that I only like dating one person at a time. I’ve never been a roster kind of girl. Honestly… I don’t even want to be bothered with talking to that many people.

And if I’m being honest…

I really, really liked the last man.

The way everything ended was something I never saw coming. Were there issues? Absolutely. I’m not perfect. But one thing I know for sure is that I did not deserve what he did to me.

Right now, I just don’t have it in me to hand my heart to somebody else.

I also have some insecurities that I need to work through before I even think about dating again.

Instead, I’m choosing me.

I just started my blog and my YouTube channel, and I want to pour my energy into building a life that I genuinely love—with or without a relationship.

And you know what’s surprising?

I feel… peaceful.

Like, an insane amount of peace.

Honestly, it scares me a little because I’m wondering if I’ll ever even want a relationship again.

Don’t get me wrong… I love the idea of a real man.

The question is…

Will I ever meet one?

Do I miss getting random “thinking about you” texts?

Absolutely.

Do I miss those cute little conversations where you’re excited about each other?

Of course.

But all the confusion, inconsistency, disappointment, and unnecessary stress that seems to come with dating these days?

Yeah…

I’m good.

So for now, I’m closing that chapter.

I’m leaving it in God’s hands and focusing on myself, my business, my children, and creating a life that I don’t need to escape from.

I’ve also accepted that it’s going to take a strong man to be with me.

And sometimes… I wonder if those even exist.

At least not where I live. 😂

So if you’ve been thinking about taking a break from dating too…

Maybe this is your sign.

Choose yourself.

Pour into yourself.

Make yourself happy.

And who knows…

Maybe one day, God will surprise both of us.

Until then…
