August.. You Were Something
So I guess these types of posts are going to be a staple because I literally cannot not wrap up my month. š
August was⦠a month.
As Iām sitting here typing this, I genuinely donāt remember a lot of August. Lol. Goes to camera roll to see what all I actually did.
In all honesty, August was really a āget back on trackā kind of month. My girls started school again, so I was getting back into the routine of that while also trying to get my work and workout schedule back on track. There was a LOT of hustling going on this month and not nearly enough leisure, which is something I definitely want to change in September.
I also did a thingā¦
I did the big chop. Aka⦠I got a pixie cut. KMSL. š
The pixie cut I got was not exactly the pixie cut I wanted, BUT it was what I needed. Did I cry like a baby once it really settled in that I had literally cut all of my hair off?
Well. Duh. š
But at the same time, I felt like God was telling me to calm down and not regret it. As the days go by, Iām starting to like it more, but itās definitely going to take some time before I can say I LOVE it. Weāre getting there. Slowly. š
On another note, the workout plan ChatGPT helped me create is working like a charm. Iāve been doing a mix of running, strength training, and Pilates, and Iām loving it.
The scale, however, is refusing to participate in the celebration. š
But the changes Iām seeing in my body are amazing, and honestly, that matters so much more to me. I also picked running back up, and Iām really enjoying it. It makes me feel empowered for some reason. I think because running is just as mental as it is physical. There are definitely moments when I want to stop, so pushing myself past those moments feels incredibly rewarding.
I also had a goal at the beginning of the year to participate in a run, so I guess this is me officially ātrainingā for one. And although we make new goals as the year progresses, we canāt lose track of the original ones we set for ourselves.
Because at some point this month, I definitely wanted to pull my hair out. š
But Iām ending August kicking my feet in the air and falling asleep with a smile on my face.
August ended in a very unexpected way, and I am not mad at it whatsoever.
And all Iām gonna say isā¦
I see you, God. KMSL. š
So I hope Iām right.
For September, I really donāt want to stress myself out. I want to do some of the things I hoped to do in August, like crochet. I actually did finish a project in August, which made me really proud of myself, but I want to do more and venture into some of the other cute DIYs I have in mind.
I want to genuinely enjoy the people who are in my life.
I want to continue growing my relationship with God, which is the most important and dearest thing to me.
And most importantly, I just want to remain open to whatever He has for me.
I donāt need to have everything figured out.
I donāt need to force anything.
I just want to enjoy this season, keep showing up for myself, and trust that whatās meant for me will find me in the right time.
Soā¦
September, be good to me. š¤
